How to Troubleshoot Azure VM Not Starting

If your Azure virtual machine won’t start, there may be a configuration or quota issue. 

Steps to Troubleshoot VM Startup 

     1. Check VM Status 

a. Log into the Azure portal and check the VM’s status. 

     2. Review Boot Diagnostics 

a. Use Boot diagnostics to view startup logs and error messages. 

     3. Verify Resource Quotas 

a. Ensure your subscription hasn’t hit CPU, RAM, or disk quotas. 

     4. Check Network and Disk Settings 

a. Confirm that the VM’s network interface and disk are properly configured.
