How to Clear Teams Cache to Fix Loading or Login Issues

If Microsoft Teams is slow to load, won’t log in, or behaves oddly, clearing the cache can help resolve these issues. 

Steps to Clear the Teams Cache 

     1. Quit Teams Completely 

a. Right-click the Teams icon in the system tray and select Quit. 

b. Make sure it’s not running in the background. 

     2. Open the Teams Cache Folder 

a. Press Windows + R, type %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams, and press Enter. 

     3. Delete Cache Files 

a. Delete all files and folders inside the Teams directory. 

b. This includes folders like Cache, blob_storage, databases, etc. 

     4. Restart Teams 

a. Open Teams and sign in again. 

b. You may need to reconfigure some settings.
